Eclipse

This is my first time reading Eclipse and like other books by Stephenie Meyer, I love the writing. I think in this book you have to pay attention to smaller details whereas in the other books of the  Twilight series you have to pay attention to the bigger picture. Also in this book you have to have read the others to really understand whats going on because there are small details that you remember while reading this book.

From what I've read so far in this book it seems that Bella (the main character) is braver and more sure of herself. In New Moon she has a phase of depression, that was harder to read because it was slow, which made her seem vulnerable to the world and now that Edward (her boyfriend/ vampire) is back she has more confidence and is yet still scared. She somewhat looses her best friend (and werewolf) Jacob, which makes her sad yet rebellious. Also she is still being hunted by a vampire and the Voultori is at some point going to check and see if the Cullens (Edwards family) have turned her into a vampire yet, which also makes her scared and anxious. She wants to be turned into a vampire very quickly, which brings out how sure she is of her future and her confidence builds when she talks to Edward about it.

Jacob doesn't want Bella to turn into a vampire so quickly because they are best friends and when she changes she won't be human anymore. The love that Jacob has for Bella seems everlasting even though he doesn't love her more than a best friend or sister. I think Bella takes advantage of Jake's love because it seems like she hates him and then forgives him and then hates him again and he always is apologizing to her. She truly does love Jake like a brother or best friend but doesn't seem to know how to express that to him. She always worries for his sake and he is always in the back of her mind which shows she cares greatly about him.
